What’s that creeping around the corner? It smells like work, but has an excitement like Christmas time to it! That must be…. STUDIO TIME!!!

Saint Anyway is returning to the studio this month after 2 and half weeks on the road (18 shows in 18 days). We will be recording a full LP in a “professional” studio for the first time, spending one week in the studio starting July 30th. Our past albums, Paper Town, Two and Here On The Ground, had glimpses of pro studio work sprinkled on top of do-it-yourself, grassroots basement lo-fi audio experimentations. On the horizon today is a light, a beacon that shines: “radio airplay”, “theatre-curcuit tours”, “coach buses”, and much more. We have been walking towards that light since we started this band in 2007, but now we have started to run.

It only took 2 weeks! Just halfway to our deadline, we’ve already met our KickStarter goal of raising $5,000 to record a new studio album. Yeehaw! We really can’t explain how much this means to us…and in the past 14 days we’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the support of those we know and those we don’t know at all. We are very, very lucky to have so many people that believe in this little band, and want to see it grow. We wouldn’t be able to do this if it wasn’t for all of you, and the past two weeks have made that especially clear. So for your love, generosity, encouragement, THANK YOU.

We also want to announce that WE STILL HAVE TWO WEEKS! Our KickStarter page is live until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June 26. So…if you are still really excited about one of our prizes (bluegrass breakfast anyone?) and simply never got around to signing up, please note that we are still graciously and humbly accepting pledges. As we produce this album, there will be many additional costs that extend well beyond the recording process (such as audio mastering, CD pressing, distribution, and marketing). KickStarter is an online crowd-funding platform that we are using to raise money for our very first professionally recorded studio album, due this November. We’ve never had the resources to record our music professionally before, but with your help we can make it happen! We’re back from a marathon East Coast tour (21 shows in 20 days!) and happy to be in MN again. After a luxurious few days rest, Saint Anyway is back where we belong – off and cruising in the van once more. Believe it or not, Emmylou is STILL running fine (she had us worried for a while) and never looked better. We’ve got an especially exciting show coming up next week at Amazing Grace in Duluth.
